Annals of BMES Special Issue on MSM

Return to the 2015 MSM Consortium Meeting Agenda

Our proposal for a special section of Annals of Biomedical Engineering on “Multi-scale Modeling in the Clinic” was approved in the Spring of 2015.

Subsequently we organized ourselves into five "teams" (surgery, cardiovascular, neuro, oncology, and drug development) and are composing five review articles we plan to submit simultaneously to Annals of Biomedical Engineering by 1 November 2015.  They are (with authors in parentheses, lead author(s) underlined):

  1. Multi-scale Modeling of the Cardiovascular System: Disease Development, Progression, and Clinical Intervention   (Yanhang Zhang, Victor Barocas, Colleen E. Clancy, David Eckmann, Daniel Einstein, Marc Garbey, Yu-Fang Jin, Ghassan S. Kassab, Donna R. Lochner, Andrew D. McCulloch, Roger Tran-Son-Tay, Natalia A. Trayanova)
  2. Multi-Scale Modeling in the Clinic: Drug Design and Development (Colleen E. Clancy, Gary An, William R. Cannon, Tara Klassen, Yaling Liu, Elebeoba E. May, Peter Ortoleva, Aleksander Popel, James P. Sluka, Paolo Vicini, Xiaobo Zhou, David M. Eckmann)
