- June 10-Sept 15: Challenge Season for DREAM8 Challenges
- During the “Challenge season” Sage Bionetworks and DREAM will run the three Challenges described below. Best performers in the DREAM8 Challenges will be invited to present at the DREAM conference (November 8-12, Toronto, Canada) with travel expenses covered by the Sage/DREAM organizers. Sage Bionetworks and DREAM are also working with high impact journals to ensure that the methodology developed by the Challenges' best performers will be considered for publication under the Challenge-assisted Peer Review format.
- HPN-DREAM Breast Cancer Network Inference Challenge - Infer the signaling networks in breast cancer cell lines
- NIEHS-NCATS-UNC DREAM Toxicogenetics Challenge – Predict individual response to environmental and pharmaceutical chemicals
- The Whole-Cell Parameter Estimation DREAM Challenge: Infer the kinetic parameters underlying biological processes in whole cell models
- To sign up for a Challenge and access the data sets and descriptions of the DREAM8 Challenges, please go to https://www.synapse.org/#!Challenges:DREAM8

- July 11-12, 2013: Annual Meeting of the NIGMS National Centers for Systems Biology (NCSB)
- Natcher Conference Center, Ruth Kirschstein Auditorium, NIH Bethesda Campus, 45 Center Drive, Bethesda MD 20892
- Purpose: The goal of the annual NCSB PI meeting is to allow the PIs from all active NIGMS NCSB awards to meet and discuss their results, lessons learned, and challenges in setting up the center, running center-scale research, and transitioning the center to independent funding. The meeting also allows PIs to meet with the NIGMS Program Directors involved in overseeing the centers and to provide collective input to the program. In addition, the 2013 meeting will mark the 10th anniversary of the NCSB program and will inform the community at large about the status and achievements of the program.
- This meeting is open to the general public. Registration is required. Participants are responsible for their own travel, hotel incidentals, and meals.
