BioCoDa

The Biological Components Databank

The purpose of this effort is to provide an online clearinghouse of mechanistic models of functional biological components to use as building blocks to construct computational models of biological systems. Models of biological systems---including signaling pathways, electrophysiological systems, and cellular metabolism---are built from models of individual components such as enzymes, transporters, and ion channels. This databank will provide an open source of component models using a consistent notation, obeying a common set of criteria, with clear documentation and links to the primary literature.

The broader community is encouraged to contribute the databank. Details can be found here: Biological Components Databank.

Currently, the databank provides data and models on enzymes, transporters, and biochemical thermodynamicsL
