Complex networks and inference
Mathematicians, Computer Scientists and Physicists like to study theoretical models of networks and inference questions related to these models. When is this research useful for studying the underlying problems? I will discuss some recent and not so recent examples and try to extract some general principles on how much should we believe such complex models.
