Goal: We aim to investigate the spatiotemporal dynamics of basal ganglia-cortical network activity regulating human motor control

Study population and setting:

  • Patients with Parkinson disease undergoing deep brain stimulatin implantation surgery
  • Intraoperative recordings of spikes, deep brain local field potentials from basal ganglia, and electrocorticography from motor, prefrontal, and parietal cortices while participants perform choice, conflict, and action suppression tasks.
