Attend a Virtual, Interactive Micro Lab on Digital Twin Technology: April 23, 1:00 pm – 2:30 pm ET

You are Invited to an Interactive, Virtual Micro Lab on Cancer Challenges and Advanced Computing:

Toward Building a Cancer Patient “Digital Twin”: A Preview of the July Ideas Lab

Thursday, April 23, 2020, 1:00 pm-2:30 pm EST via Zoom (online meeting room)

Are you interested in developing innovative, multidisciplinary collaborations to accelerate cancer research?

Register » (bit.ly/Digital_Twin_Micro_Lab) to join the virtual, interactive Micro Lab with cancer and computational researchers interested in advancing Digital Twin technology!

During the Micro Lab, we’ll explore some of the following questions:

  • What does a successful digital twin look like?
  • What are the most important first steps to creating a digital twin?
  • What are the intermediary goals toward achieving a digital twin?
  • What are the barriers to creating a digital twin?

What is a Micro Lab? A 60-90 minute, highly interactive virtual event. Unlike webinars which are focused on disseminating information, the Micro Lab facilitates stimulating scientific discussions in smaller, more intimate virtual breakout groups. (including virtual Post-It notes!) NO TRAVEL REQUIRED!

Why are we hosting a Micro Lab? To bring together cancer researchers, clinicians, biomedical engineers, bioinformaticians, AI researchers, data scientists, computational scientists, and mathematical modelers to begin to determine a roadmap for cutting edge research in support of digital twin technology.

Preview the Digital Twin Ideas Lab: This Micro Lab will also offer opportunities to learn more about the NCI-DOE Collaboration 2020 Ideas Lab (July 6-10, 2020), connect with other applicants and join interactive breakout sessions to explore the next steps required to build a digital twin of an individual cancer patient.

The NCI-DOE Collaboration 2020 Ideas Lab: Toward Building a Cancer Patient “Digital Twin” application deadline has been extended to 5 p.m., ET April 30!

Apply to the July 6-10 Ideas Lab » events.cancer.gov/cbiit/dtwin2020/registration

The July Ideas Lab is an opportunity to determine a roadmap for cutting edge research in support of digital twin technology. Participants at the Ideas Lab will explore, probe, challenge and refine ideas for research projects that would begin to identify what is needed to move forward.
