OpenSim Webinar: Computational Models of Reaching to Test Hypotheses in Motor Control

In this webinar, Dr. Al Borno will share the computational results leading to this theory and describe the experimental verification using neural recordings from rhesus monkeys. He will also highlight their computational experiments to determine whether synergies introduce task performance deficits, facilitate the learning of movements, and generalize to different movements.

The SPARC Portal provides interactive access to a growing collection of data, maps, and computational studies generated by researchers funded through the NIH SPARC programThese resources focus on the role of the autonomic nervous system in controlling organ function and are made available to the public with the intent of advancing bioelectronic medicine towards more precise treatment of diseases and conditions.

Included in the resource is a powerful computing platform called o2S2PARC, which enables modeling, simulation, data analysis, and visualization directly within your web browser. A growing list of curated computational studies from various SPARC-funded teams is available for virtual experimentation on o2S2PARC.

Description & purpose of resource

The Experimental Data and Geometric Analysis Repository (EDGAR) is a free, web-based repository hosted by the SCI Institute at the University of Utah. The purpose of EDGAR is to share and collate electrocardiological data, specifically for the validation and advancement of electrocardiographic imaging (ECGI) problems amongst a worldwide consortium of academic institutions. This repository is coordinated through the Consortium for ECG Imaging (www.ecg-imaging.org) and we encourage all users of the resource to acknowledge the role of this group in their research.
