Yoram Vodovotz
Dr. Yoram Vodovotz is currently a Professor of Surgery, Immunology, Computational and Systems Biology, Bioengineering, Clinical and Translational Science, and Communication Science and Disorders at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. His research focus is the biology of inflammation, a process that is both necessary to maintaining health and, paradoxically, central to most if not all diseases that affects both developing and industrialized societies.

David Christini
I am a Professor at Weill Cornell Medical College, New York, NY. My PhD is in biomedical engineering from Boston University. In my group, we study cardiac electrophysiological dynamics from the cellular level to the organ level. We are primarily interested in understanding the mechanisms underlying arrhythmia initiation (from the cellular to whole-heart levels) and in developing new arrhythmia therapies. We use computational, in vitro, and clinical methods in an interdisciplinary approach that interweaves concepts from physics, biophysics, and bioengineering.
