Terry Sanger

Terence Sanger, MD PhD, Associate Professor of Biomedical Engineering, Biokinesiology, and Child Neurology. Dr. Sanger is an Electrical Engineer and Child Neurologist specializing in movement disorders of children. His NIH funded research includes work on understanding motor learning in children, work on the use of kinematic measurements of children to design assistive communication interfaces, and multiscale modeling of large-scale neural systems for control, with particular application to understanding the development of spasticity and dystonia.

Tony Hunt

C. Anthony (Tony) Hunt is Professor of Bioengineering and Therapeutic Sciences, Schools of Medicine and Pharmacy, The University of California, San Francisco. He directs the BioSystems Group. His focus is mammalian systems (healthy and morbid). The group develops and uses modeling and simulation methods to achieve deeper insight into the networked, layered, macro- and micromechanisms that link fine grain events with higher level phenomena across scales in the presence and absence of interventions.

Wing Kam Liu

Vita: Dr. Wing Kam Liu, Walter P. Murphy Professor of Mechanical Engineering at Northwestern University, Founding Director of the NSF Summer Institute on Nano Mechanics and Materials, Founding Chair of the ASME NanoEngineering Council, Vice Chair of the US National Committee on Theoretical and Applied Mechanics within the National Academies, and Co-Founding Director of the Northwestern University Predictive Science and Engineering Design Program, received his B.S. from the University of Illinois at Chicago; his M.S. and Ph.D. both from Caltech.

Lealem Mulugeta

Lealem Mulugeta is the current Project/Lead Scientist of NASA's Digital Astronaut Project (DAP). The DAP is dedicated to implementing well-validated computational models to help predict and assess spaceflight health and performance risks, and to enhance the development of health risk countermeasure.

Dalin Tang

Dalin Tang, Professor of Mathematics and Biomedical Engineering, Worcester Polytechnic Institute. Tang has been working on computational modeling for cardiovascular diseases in the last 20 years. His research interests include image-based (MRI, IVUS) computational models for patient-specific vulnerable carotid and coronary plaques and computer-aided ventricle models for surgery optimization.
