Theme 2: Multiscale Modeling Implementation into Medical Simulators/Trainers
Goal: Share and discuss methods for developing and incorporating multiscale modeling into the advancement of medical simulators/simulation education trainers to advance medical education and clinical training.
Objectives: The speakers will address the Theme 2 Goal with the following four objectives:

Abstract:
Virtual-Tissue (VT) simulations are increasingly important tools for understanding how complex multi-scale interactions among biochemical networks, cells, microenvironments, tissues, organs and the whole-body result in normal or disease processes. Understanding cells in the proper spatiotemporal environment is crucial because a cell behavior is a function of its environment.
